Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit on evaluation and testing, the types of testing associated with language schools were discussed. Distinguishing between types of tests was done, from diagnostic testing to external examinations, and creative approaches to test implementation was shown. I learned about a variety of external examinations, and some of the motivations for students interested in learning English. This unit discussed past tenses and the various uses for past uses. As a native speaker, I use these on a daily basis but to review the uses for teaching purposes is very helpful. We discussed past simple, past perfect, past continuous, and the uses for all of those as well as the negation for the verb tenses. These are things I learned that I can use in my classroom from time to time.
