Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 4, present tenses, is a break down of the four types of present tenses; present simple, present continuous, present perfect and finally present perfect continuous. The unit goes into detail to ascertain that we as future educators understand the differences in order to better help our students. This Unit also gives great feedback on how to actually go about teaching these subjects by giving us examples of activities. This unit opened up my mind about how much the receptive skills need to be used, especially towards the straight arrow ESA lesson because students need to be able to understand all the different stages of learning skills in English (engage, study, activate phase). This unit was also great for understanding the problems with receptive skills too e.g receptive skills are mainly in the connection of the language in the text.
