Our two schools in Wuhan city of central China have immediate vacancies for 4 teachers, 2 for young students under 12 years old, and 2 for students older than 12. Some of the students are university students and adults.

Class size is small - mostly 9 or 12. Programs are well structured. Courses are mainly conversational. North American TV programs and movies are provided for listening classes. SuperKids books, New Interchange books and Longman English books are used for conversational classes. Our materials and books make it easier and more fun for our teachers to teach at TDM.

Ideal candidate should be a native English speaker holding a BA degree from a recognized university or a TESL certificate, should have at least one year teaching experience, should be realistic about China, and should be flexible, easy going, responsible, and enthusiastic. For teaching students under 12 years old, being fond of children is a must, and experience with children or a child care certificate will definitely be an asset.

We offer: 6 months or 12 months contract, either full-time or part-time, well above market salary, free accommodation, travel bonus, health insurance, work visa (Z visa) sponsorship, high speed internet service, and more importantly, a friendly and helpful working and living environment.

Wuhan is a 7 million people city located in central part of China where is more like real China than Beijing or Shanghai. It is by the Yangtzi river, surround by many lakes, and has a lot for you to explore. Living here is convenient and inexpensive. You will save most of your money for travel. And locating in central China makes it easier for you to go to other parts of China.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit I've learnt that by putting stress, intonation, tone, etc in different way can mean totally different. Therefore it is important to teach pronounciation by knowing phonology. Some techniques to used to teach above, we teach by gesture, visual such as write on board making marks. Although it is important and giving information to student about pronounciation, most important part is for them to 'feel' to speak naturally. This particular Unit provided a couple of real-world examples of teaching within the classroom. Now, I am able to see what the underlying components of lesson plan structure (Activate, Engage, Study), actually look like. Moreover, I was able to compare and contrast the effects of a friendly, guided, and open approach to teaching versus the more intimidating judgemental, presumptive and impersonal method of interacting with students.
