Teach English to Young Learners in China

This unit discusses teaching themes that can be applied to many situations and contexts. I learned about the Speech Act Theory and how each level leads to the next. I also learned that frameworking can be applied to familiarizing students with tenses in a context that is relevant to them. Adapting games for class is something I'm already familiar with, but Monopoly is a game I hadn't considered.Studying this unit has taught me the needs of the different types of classes, whether it be a beginner, individual or students who require it as part of the careers. This unit has taught me the methodology and techniques required to put a suitable lesson plan together. It has also taught me how ESP differs from teaching English in a school and how to carry out a needs analysis to help with this.
