Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This section went over the various materials that can be used in a classroom in order to enhance the learning process for students. These materials are usually audio or visual aids such as: books, tapes, projectors, videos, cd's, projectors, or even the board itself. The benefits of such materials vary depending on what it is but the overall goal is to engage students by keeping the language learning process varied and interesting. This unit, unit four, covers how to teach new vocabulary, new grammatical structures and new 'functions' of language. The unit, within the framework of ESA (Engage, Study, Activate), offers suggestions for how to teach vocabulary and grammatical structures. Further, the unit briefly touches on the 'functions' of language -- inviting, agreeing, refusing, etc. The unit offers sample lessons for teaching this area of language as well.
