This was an important lesson on forms of teaching that require slightly different skills. This includes teaching beginners, one on one teaching, teaching children versus teaching adults, and business English. It is very crucial to remember individuals learn differently and you have to utilize many teaching tools to adhere to a variety of learners. How you teach children is very different to how you teach a business professional. This chapter deals with equipment and resources for teaching. Though some of the material is outdated (such as the discussion on cassette tapes and overheads), much of it remains relevant. It poses benefits and drawbacks of various systems, including the blackboard, electronic boards, DVDs, and video camcorders. The chapter also provides a wealth of links to various resources for teaching, and a number of excellent dictionaries.
