This unit explores different teaching equipment and aides commonly found within the classroom. It also discusses some practical ways these can be put into use during lessons, while also providing some helpful tips to ensure teachers get the best out of each tool or aide. This unit also provides plenty of links to different online tools and resources, including dictionaries and news media which can help bring lessons to life.This unit was all about methods for introducing new language and language functions, focusing on ways to introduce grammar, language functions and vocabulary. I found some of the example lessons given particularly helpful as guidelines for how to introduce different concepts to new English learners, especially the sample activity for grouping students into pairs and having them invite other students/turn down the invitation.
