Position involves working as part as a fantastic team at one of three British owned and managed English Schools on Hong Kong Island.

English Excel was founded in 2000 with aim of providing high quality, interactive English classes for all ages. It was our goal to create what was missing from the English learning arena; small classes, taught by professional native teachers with a low teacher turnover. We have exceeded those early goals; today we are recruiting for positions commencing in September and October. The successful teachers will be required to work in one of three British owned and managed extra-curricular English Schools located on Hong Kong Island. Learners consist mainly of children between the ages of 4-14. Classes are limited to 4 students and last for a duration of 1.5 hours. Classes are strongly geared to oral interaction and require a friendly, outgoing approach from teachers. The position is five days per week, Saturday is a full working day, there is a day off between Monday-Friday.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit I found it gave me a good understanding and overview from the pass units of how to treat students and become someone they can trust and someone they can direct them. Of course this won't give me all the tools as you really need to dive in and understand in real life but I belice this gave me a good base understanding. As a teacher you need to be able to expand and help all student at all levels and ages. This unit's focus on classroom management rang true. Truly there is little else that can hinder learning more quickly than an out of control classroom. However an iron fist will also not do the trick as it will intimidate the students especially in he case of small children. I feel this unit understands and does a good job of addressing the balance that allows a teacher to control their classroom for maximum results.
