Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit taught us more about how lessons should be set up and the various ways to engage our students. We also learned about what is and is not of value when teaching students new vocabulary words. We learned what allows the students to learn the words with more ease compared to it being more difficult. I could relate to this as it is easier to learn spanish words that relate to english words. This unit focused on pronunciation and phonology. It helped me to understand how difficult the concept of sounding out words in english really is. It taught me the value of the phonetic alphabet and other tools that can be used to help teach pronunciation. The idea of teaching rhythms was very interesting to me bakes I teach dance and we often teach the rhythms of a step to make learning easier.
