Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered what skills are involved in the receptive skills of reading and listening and the best ways to teach them, which included what materials are appropriate for different levels and what teachers should keep in mind when working to improve the receptive skills of their students. I felt that I learned simple ways to improve how I teach students English now that I have been introduced to them. This unit showed a video demonstrating how a teacher with a poor attitude and low enthusiasm can have a negative effect on the class which reduces participation by students. The students struggled throughout the lesson and had little to no benefit from it. The second video showed an example of an enthusiastic teacher cause greater participation from the students which leads to a much more beneficial class.
