Smooth Talkers is a company formed on 2012, winner of Chile's Seed Capital Entrepreneur Award in the same year.  We offer customized English courses to companies and individuals in Santiago de Chile, from beginner to advanced courses, and business focused courses. We have regular opportunities for enthusiastic, reliable EFL teachers with a genuine interest in student learning. Classes are held at client's homes or offices, from beginner to advanced levels, to individuals or small groups.

Motivated native or fluent English speakers with teaching experience or qualifications. You do not need a university degree in the field, but you should have a TEFL certificate or similar. You should be a good listener and communicator, comfortable explaining the language but also fostering an enjoyable class environment.

We have clients from a variety of backgrounds. Many students are from major Chilean companies who need to train their management teams in the language of business. We also have many private students, ranging from children to graduates intending to further their studies in English-speaking countries, to adults seeking to broaden their employment and travel options. As a teacher you would be in charge of preparing and teaching English courses based on Oxford's New English File, and the evaluation of student's progress throughout the lessons.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit has opened my eyes to the many different ways that I can use as a teacher to assess how much my students know before or during the course. There are a number of ways to check how much the students are learning and these tests should be suitable for the language level of the students. This unit has in essence added to what I already know about evaluating and assessing students. In this lesson I have learned the difference between the authentic and non-authentic materials and that I should strive to use more authentic materials in my classroom. I also learned how to prepare a lesson plan and where I should pay special attention while doing it. I also have a better insight now in material preparation and where I can find all the materials needed for my teaching.
