SmartEnglish is looking for passionate teachers who will create a positive and long-lasting impact on their students’ language learning experience.

SmartEnglish offers a new model for teaching and learning English called blended learning. Our methodology combines world-class language software and face-to-face classes with native English teachers. SmartEnglish offers 4 levels. Each course is designed so that the student has flexibility to learn English using software, following an academic program specifically designed by SmartEnglish that addresses specific language competencies including Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, Pronunciation, Vocabulary and Grammar.

The teacher is responsible for making the classroom experience exceptional by combining his/her unique teaching philosophy with warm up activities, grammar review, conversation and interactive exercises.

We are looking for Native English teachers preferably with working experience and TEFL or TESOL certification to teach throughout Chile.

We offer on-line training to all teachers, customer service support and we pay an excellent hourly rate.

As an opening unit this is a concise guide to the course content and the expectations of the student. It is clearly set out in its aims and objectives. The unit is very informative as to what to expect upon completion of the course with welcome advice on areas to teach Business English in such as a company, language centre or a freelance teacher giving private lessons. The latter is an area of interest to me.It was very interesting learning about the ESA approach for teaching and the versions of it such as Straight Arrow, Boomerang and Patchwork variants. The examples given were very helpful for gaining a clear understanding. It was also valuable learning about the importance of recognising the difference between mistakes and errors made by students as well as guidelines for correcting mistakes made by students.
