Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit was about the factors that make up good teachers and learners. Teachers have many roles to play when teaching ESL and I have learned it is important to find a nice balance between the roles in order to be an effective teacher. Learners of ESL may have many different ability levels and motivations for why they want to study but, as a teacher, it is important to make to class welcoming to all students.I learned that a sentence is composed of a subject and predicate. The verb agrees with the subject. There are different kinds of verb. It can be transitive and intransitive. There are also articles in grammar: definite and indefinite article. There are also rules to follow in arranging various adjectives in the sentence. In addition, changing the adjectives into comparative and superlative form has its rules too.
