This unit served as a reminder that learning something new, especially a topic as complex as English, is scary. It reminded me of the importance of finding a balance between the different roles of a teacher. It is essential to correct and guide as well as to nourish and encourage new learners. As a teacher I must serve as a model English speaker, model learner, and overall model human being for my students.In this unit i was able to combine the previous two learnings regarding present and past tenses together, to allow me to better understand future tenses. Once again, having the ability to teach grammar, tenses, vocabulary etc... are all essential components of any language teacher. This has been very valuable to me, as previously a weak area of mine was indeed the grammar / tenses side of language learning.
