Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit focused on teaching productive skills such as speaking and writing. As with the previous unit that dealt with receptive skills, both speaking and writing skills are equally important and a teacher's aim should be to teach both and not just focus on one or the other. This unit has taught me how to effectively teach productive skills by way of examples. The specific examples and the links provided, were helpful too.Unit 8 focused on teaching productive skills. I learned the difference between accuracy and fluency activities and that they are equally important. Doing the right activity in the correct ESA stage will more likely guarantee results. I also learned about the four factors which need to be considered or incorporated with writing skills lessons. This lesson also taught me the importance and the benefits of games in the class.
