Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This course covered classroom dynamics between teachers and students on a basic level. This included: What should be expected of both teachers and students in a classroom environment, difficulties faced by teachers when teaching students of various ages, and a general discussion of how to assess the abilities of English learners. It is a good introduction because it allows me to know what will be expected of me as a teacher. This unit was interesting as I had never really thought about the references to time with regard to the different tenses. I think when you grow up with a language you just know what 'sounds right' but when you look in depth at each tense, it becomes quite complicated! ie. Past continuous always requires a time reference. And Past perfect - shows a past action had completely finished before another action in the past started.
