Enhance Education Sdn Bhd specialises in teaching English and needs new EFL teachers to start immediately. We have three teaching centres in Penang State with a total enrolment of more than 1,300 students per term. In all centres we provide high-quality English language courses in spacious, well-equipped classrooms using interactive student-centred teaching methods. Our courses cover all ages and levels from age 4 years to adults, but there is especially strong demand from pre-school and school students.

We seek EFL teachers who meet all these essential criteria:

1. Substantial experience of teaching English to children aged 4 to 17 years;

2. Native English level speaker with a university degree in any subject;

3. TEFL / TESOL /CELTA or direct equivalent with a substantial element of classroom experience. We do not accept solely on-line certificates.

We need people who can relate well to young children and who have an active and lively teaching style. We use a range of well-known coursebooks but teachers can draw on our data-bank for supplementary materials and have considerable freedom in planning lessons. Most of our students are part-time and study with us for 2 hours per week. This means that most classes are held at weekends and on some weekday evenings. Nonetheless we do guarantee all teachers two consecutive rest days each week, usually on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We offer a professionally supportive environment and a locally competitive pay and benefits package including health insurance and pension premiums. Depending on qualifications and experience most starting salaries are from RM7,250 per month with additions of a 12% pension supplement and an RM500 location allowance for the mainland: a total package of RM8,620 per month. Assistance with relocation and settlement costs is available.

Our three centres are located in Straits Quay Marina on Penang Island, and on the mainland in Butterworth (Bagan Ajam) and Bukit Mertajam (Alma). All are close to residential and shopping areas with a wide range of affordable condos having good facilities such as pool and gym. Commuting to all centres is quite easy and no matter where you teach you can choose to live on either Penang Island or on the mainland.

Enhance Education Sdn Bhd is a young company that is growing quickly. The senior staff all have strong educational backgrounds and considerable experience: the Principal is Dr Tom Craig-Cameron, formerly Director of British Council Malaysia; the Deputy Principal is Ross Beattie formerly of the Garden International School in Kuala Lumpur; and the two Senior Teachers are Emma Talbot formerly of British Council and Sue Back who is a UK Qualified Teacher.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This lesson gave me a clearer understanding of present tense. Because of this lesson, I was able to refresh my memory of its forms and usage and I gained additional knowledge at the same time. Though I have been discussing this lesson with my online students, still, it's a good thing to re-learn and have a deeper understanding of the topic so I can improve and be a better teacher to my students.Unit 3 explains the methodology in teaching English as a foreign language. The are many different methods in teaching English, the most common and universally accepted one is Engage-Study-Activate (ESA). The unit explains the kind of activities involved at each stage of the lesson, for example we need to use pictures and games at the engage stage, we need to elicit and the study stage and so on.
