The SCOOP Foundation is looking for qualified TEFL teachers to work at the SCOOP School and Community Centre near Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Teachers will work closely with our SCOOP Group in Education, who develop our own English learning curriculum for students ranging in age of 4-18. Teachers will also monitor progress of each child and allocate short-term volunteers for one-on-one tutoring. In the evenings, the centre is also used for Adult Conversation Classes to allow adults get involved in learning English. To apply, please send cv and brief cover letter to the e-mail address given on the job heading by October 7.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 11 reflects to teaching basic skills. In the unit are described in details the receptive skills - reading and listening, given reasons, going through problems in the classroom, better organization of the lesson, also what kind reading and listening skills we perform for different tasks. The material was interesting and valuable, as well as the example of exercise materials at the end of the unit.As a new teacher, I really appreciated the sample lesson plans included with this module. I am certain I will use them at length throughout my journey as an English teacher. I felt the Task 2 materials were were not introduced well and just added in to the module without explanation or reason. A little more intro as to why they are included here and how to better utilize them would have proven useful.
