Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with Diploma in Special Education as per RCI 

TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred

2-5 yrs. of teaching experience in CBSE curriculum as Special Educator

Overview

The primary role of a Special Educator is to deliver classroom instruction that helps students who require learning support to learn and develop students' abilities, interests and coordinate through mode of creative activities.

Responsibilities

 

- Collaborate with other classroom teachers, school counsellors to provide an integrated plan for developing the capacities of the students who need learning support.

- Set learning goals for each student, assess their progress, and record their evaluations.

- Arranging various methods to develop lesson plans as per child’s existing calibre.

- Update parents on the progress of their students and enlist parental support with behaviour control and home activities designed to supplement their classroom lessons.

- Supervise and train teaching assistants. 

- Help plan for the transition of their students to productive lives after the completion of their secondary education.
