English & More in Sri Lanka has been operating successfully since 2007. We have schools in two locations- Matara and Galle, and are urgently looking for a teacher of English to start in August on a one-year renewable contract. The job involves teaching children, teenagers and adults whose levels range from Beginners to Upper Intermediate. The position is ideal for someone who has recently completed their TEFL or TESOL course.

This chapter covers the various types of tests, modes of evaluation for students, and reasons for doing them at each stage of the language learning journey. It was interesting to see how there are really so many different types of tests for the student. They can not only help the student feel more confident the language, but also help the teacher by a better guide and aid to each student's different needs.This unit gave an overview in terms of materials and lesson planning.I understood the difference between authentic and non-authentic materials. I also understood the importance of creating detailed lesson plans. On the other hand, it is important to be flexible and adjust the lesson to the situation in the classroom. I appreciate the proposed materials and webliography that I can use for my future lessons.
