Employment teaching EFL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Date posted:2006-07-19 | Writer: The Language Studio Sdn Bhd | Email: [email protected]

We are an established government-registered private language school catering for students aged 4 to adult. We offer a range of English language programmes, as well as providing corporate communications training for local businesses. We currently have two campuses in Kuala Lumpur, and offer comfortable and attractive working conditions. Class sizes are at a maximum of 15, but most often 10 or 12 is the limit for classes.

We seek to employ qualified and experienced professionals to teach in our school. Those with CELTA or the equivalent are preferred, but Diploma / Degree holders with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. Due to recent growth (we opened our new campus) we have both full and part time positions available.

Our teachers can either specialise in early childhood education, primary / secondary levels, or the teaching of adults, or teach across the levels. Those with experience in corporate training, seeking only part time or casual / ad hoc work are also welcome to apply.

Please contact the Principal, Craig J Selby by email [email protected] or [email protected] to register your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I found this unit quite insightful with the many solutions for managing a classroom and the many benefits with each different management style. Each style entails a different outcome that either benefits the students more or the teacher by ways of student centered focus or teacher centered focus. I have learnt that there are many different forms of management styles with each their own advantageous and disadvantageous. In this lesson we learned the positive and negative effect of teaching techniques to students, we also learn how students react to boring teaching techniques, on the first video the teacher did not give examples to student, the teacher did not even bother to use the board for writing notes, the teacher did not also give confidence to the whole class on the first video that's why the students are very confuse and bored.
