Job details

  • Creating an intentional learning environment for every student: engaging, challenging, relevant and varied to provide every child with the opportunity to flourish, achieve and excel.

  • Designing deep learning tasks and authentic experiences that scaffold thinking and levels of complexity in order to develop the school competencies (creativity, communication, critical thinking, character, collaboration, and citizenship).

  • Using a variety of learning and assessment strategies to personalise the learning process.

  • Providing guidance and support to their students through the monitoring of progress, setting of improvement strategies, forwarding and seeking information when necessary and assisting in the process of student development and evaluation.

  • Actively implementing, upholding and supporting School values and School and Department policies.

  • Actively participating in the various teams to which they belong.

  • Systematically and proactively developing their own knowledge and skills through training opportunities.

  • Identifying and utilising skills and expertise from within our community that could enhance the learning of our students and seeking opportunities for the students and school to participate and contribute to community activities.

Professional competencies

  • Has a degree in English or English Literature

  • TEFL/TESOL certificate preferred

  • Has an excellent track record teaching English as a first language and English Literature (IB experience).

  • Fully bilingual in English.
