We are an English Language Institute and we are looking for Teachers who can offer significant real world experience - particularly Teachers who can offer experience in Commerce, Law , Accountancy, Petroleum, telecommunications, medicine and government/diplomacy.

Teach Business English in Africa's fastest growing economy.

Located in Khartoum by the Blue Nile, we are strengthening our team by recruiting teachers who can offer significant experience in Business English/ English for Occupational Purposes.

Our normal requirement is for university graduates with at least a UK class 2 equivalent degree this remains highly desirable, but for this recruitment we are more interested in teachers who can offer significant real world experience as business practitioners. We are particularly interested in Teachers who can offer experience in Law, accountancy, petroleum industry, telecommunications, medicine and government/diplomacy.

We are an English Language institute and so we do require our teachers to speak British English to a native standard and be qualified specialist teachers of English for speakers of other languages, to at least TESOL TEFL or CELTA certificate standard. For these positions, a further certificate in teaching English for Special Purposes would also be highly desirable.

Khartoum is not London and contract-hopping party animals would be well advised to look elsewhere. For serious professional teachers. however, Khartoum is the capital city of Africa's largest country.

We can offer competitive packages for the right people. If you think you might be one of them, then please contact our Director, Janet McGuirk on [email protected]

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree minimum 2:2, TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Cert and relevant ESP experience

Compensation:
Teachers will receive a very competitive package, including return airfare (upon completion of contract), Comprehensive BUPA cover and a rent allowance. Full details given on application.

N.B. Successful applicants should be available to start within the next three weeks.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This section is interesting because it seems to me to be the most important for highlighting dialogue and tenses within in writing rather than in day-to-day speech. However, it also allows for necessary drilling of a deeper understanding of verb tenses and their uses throughout language. This section also really requires you to reflect back on previous knowledge gained throughout this course concerning verb tense. One thing that I really could have used in my own teaching is having a methodology of some sort for creating original materials. It is one of the things that I most struggle with, and it was completely skipped over by this lesson. Instead, the lesson only gave a few mediocre examples of activities; those should have been given in addition to some sort of instruction on making them, not instead of that instruction.
