This Unit has helped me understand how best to use my physical presence and voice in the classroom, by using good eye contact, gestures and a clear tone of voice. When taking a class I will now consider best seating arrangement for the lesson, such as a horse shoe arrangement for a smaller class to make it more intimate and easier to arrange pair work. Or ordinary rows when lecturing or if teaching a larger class.Grammar is the building block foundation to learning or mastering any language. To teach grammar it helpful to keep in mind the ESA patterns of lesson plans from a few chapters earlier, specifically the boomerang, patchwork, and straight arrow structures. It is also important to take into consideration the types of activities and games that will best engage students to understand the function and usage of grammar.
