For the 2006-2007 academic year, the Sakkara Language School is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic English Teachers for the different school stages.

Contract starts from September 1st, 2006 and ends June 1st, 2007.

The Sakkara Language School is a Private English Language School located in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. The School Stages are Kindergarten, Primary Level, Preparatory Level, and Secondary Level. We also have an IGCSE Program on campus. We are introducing this year the American High School Diploma as well. The School was established in 1993 to serve the Egyptian Community, American Community, and British Community who are seeking Advanced Education and Language skills.

Since 1993, the school has expanded very quickly. The number of students in 1994 was 34, while last academic year it was 920. The school grows with its pupils, to keep the reputable standard and level of education that the school achieved among its peers. Our success comes from the open-minded mentalities of the School Board and to the diverse enthusiastic staff.

The teacher/pupil ratio is very high to assure comprehensive education, and to facilitate to those children, who are selected, a better academic future and Language proficiency. Number of students in each class average from 20-25 students.

Last academic year, we had 16 foreign teachers (Americans, Canadians, Australians, British and French). The different ideas, skills, and cultures are welcomed to enhance and motivate the students to study the English language, which is the first Language in the school beside the Arabic Language. The students study all Sciences in English starting from the early years.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I have watched 2 ESA demostration lessons. I see real example of good and bad lesson. Of course, second lesson was more effectively, than first. In the first lesson teacher doesn`t smile, speaks quiet, doesn`t make interest for students. He allways repeated \"it`s very easy topic\" without any explanation for learners. In the second lesson teacher looks very friendly, so students was really enjoying of lesson content.Nice informational unit on how to use certain materials, namely textbooks, and various ways to have a balance between actually textbook usage, and supplemental materials to make the lessons as engaging and relevant as possible. The unit also explains on how you can balance in authentic materials, relevant to the language, based on the level of students you are teaching. Another great unit, to reflect on in the future.
