Date posted:2003-08-18 | Writer: Sakkara Language School | Email: [email protected]

The School Stages are Kindergarten, Primary Level, Preparatory Level, and Secondary Level. We also have an IGCSE Program on campus. The School was established in 1993 to serve the Egyptian Community, American Community, and British Community who are seeking Advanced Education and Language skills.

Since 1993, the school has expanded very quickly. The number of students in 1994 was 34, while last academic year it was 820. The school grows with its pupils, to keep the reputable standard and level of education that the school achieved among its peers. Our success comes from the open-minded mentalities of the School Board and to the diverse enthusiastic staff.

The teacher/pupil ratio is very high to assure comprehensive education, and to facilitate to those children, who are selected, a better academic future and Language proficiency. Number of students in each class average from 20-25 students.

Last academic year, we had 19 foreign teachers (Americans, Canadians, Australians, British and French). The different ideas, skills, and cultures are welcomed to enhance and motivate the students to study the English language, which is the first Language in the school beside the Arabic Language. The students study all Sciences in English starting from the early years.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

WELL SO FAR SO GOOD. IT'S BEEN ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL END OF UNIT. MANAGING THE CLASS IS VERY IMPORTANT. THE EYE CONTACT, GESTURES, VOICE, SITTING POSITIONS, HANDLING DISCIPLINARY ISSUES ARE ALL VERY IMPORTANT TO TEACHING AS A CAREER. BECAUSE ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED AND MORE WILL BE NEEDED AS WE EMBARK ON THE TEACHING JOURNEY. LEARNING ABOUT MANAGING CLASSES HAS IMPROVED MY PERSPECTIVE OF STUDENT TEACHER RAPPORT. ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL UNIT.I really like the materials added in, I remember different learning levels where I became engaged by word hunts, gap fillers, crosswords, and role play, and also when I became bored of them and wanted something more challenging for me, however, having studied other languages, I find that I am at those levels again, and that multiple choice or conjugation exercises as well as questions and answers and identifications are all the rage.
