For instance, after having finished a C1 English course I was offered a job as a tutor in the school where I was studying, proving that being a polyglot is a desirable trait for many companies and businesses today. Furthermore, some of my friends and people I know have decided to continue their studies either here in Italy with English courses or abroad, to have more job opportunities in the future. Considering this, without English, traveling or moving abroad would become a much more difficult task, and would limit people’s job prospects.

In conclusion, while English might not be everyone’s favorite school subject, or foreign language to learn and use, for personal reasons, it is good to remember that it is the most important language to know if we are talking about future opportunities regarding our job or our studies abroad. It helps us to be able to keep connections with people from all over the world wherever we go, not having the possibility to use our first language, and it helps us to keep our minds always open, broadening our horizons.
