In her TESOL review, Zeneb shares her experience about our in-class course in Zhuhai. Zeneb took the four-week in-class training course in Zhuhai, China, and had a very positive experience. She learned a lot about lesson planning and how to keep her students engaged. She also loves China and wants to stay and pursue a career in teaching English as a foreign language.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This lesson was about course development. It went over how to approach first meetings, needs analysis, syllabus creation, student assessment, student evaluation, and course evaluation. It was really useful to have the syllabus sample?s development explained- especially to see flexibility in the syllabus at the planning stage. Having a needs analysis sample was also helpful. For me this unit started off difficult but after going through it I feel I have a better understanding of past tenses. This will help both students and teacher gain a better understanding of how sentence structures are enabled in everyday life. Past tenses are incorporated in our everyday life so I do find it interesting learning about this section and how to teach it to others.
