The Association of Christian Schools International has 150 member Missionary Kid/International Schools where 750+ teaching positions are available every year. All schools hire independently of ACSI specific requirements and salary arrangements vary from school to school. We are currently looking for TEFL qualified teachers who are able to commit to at least a year working in Venezuela. For more information contact the e-mail address given on the job heading page.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 14 is about course books and course materials. It tells us about authentic and creative materials that are used, the advantages and disadvantages of using course books and the way to use course books to conduct classes. I think it is important to use all of these when planning lessons as this would make the lessons a bit unpredictable, hence students will be more interested in the way a class is conducted. It is important that students learn to output the language they are learning through reading and writing. These are the two ways that people output language. Writing is usually the lesser taught of the two but it is still important. It is often less taught because it involves more quiet time in the class while speaking allows for lively interaction between students and the facilitation of the transfer of ideas.
