ELT Phuket International is contracted to manage and support Primary and Secondary English Programmes for the Phuket Provincial Administration Organisation (OrBorJor).

We are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced teacher who is enthusiastic, flexible, and energetic, who is keen to make a positive contribution to our project and who is interested in professional development as a teacher.

The following vacancy exists and needs to be filled on 19 August 2009:
PRIMARY SCHOOL – ENGLISH PROGRAMME
KINDERGARTEN 2
Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree plus a teaching certificate (if the degree is not in education), and an internationally recognised TESOL/TEFL/CELTA qualification.
In addition to professional qualifications, we are looking for a responsible team player with creativity and enthusiasm; a teacher who takes teaching seriously, loves working with children and displays an active interest in the students’ academic success.
ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO THE APPLICANTS PROVIDING A CURRENT POLICE CLEARANCE DOCUMENT FROM THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.
We offer:
A very generous remuneration package:
43,000 - 45,000 Thai Baht/month
Opportunities for professional development
20 days paid holiday in October or April
Work permit and visa processed and provided
Medical and accident insurance
Thai holidays in addition to annual vacation

In this unit i have learnt about the types of classes and as in unit 1 - learners attributes - i was reminded that we need different approach when we teach young learners and adults, because their motivation, attention span, learning speed varies. I found the business english part very useful aswell , because i study economics so i`m familiar with the vocabulary - i`m planning to teach it in the near futureIn this unit i have learned the following receptive teaching skills. reading,skimming,Scanning. And have a clearer understanding now. Of languange teaching, prehaps that is why philosophies and techniques for learning languages seems to develop and change in tune with the societies which give rise to them . Teaching and learning are very human activities ;they are social just as much as they are linguistic .
