Queen Rambhaibarni Rajabhat University, located near the coast about 245 km 145 miles south east of Bangkok and in pleasant surroundings (Contact us), is in urgent need of English contract teachers for the next 2 semester, beginning 1 October 2004 till 30 September 2005. Required Qualifications:

1. Native speaker from USA, UK, Australia and Canada. 2. Bachelor's degree in English/Applied Linguistics/TESOL 3. Bachelor's degree in any field with teaching experience & TEFL/TESOL certificate. 4. Must be less than 60 years of age

Salary and Conditions 1. Queen Rambhaibarni Rajabhat University offers 1 year, renewable contracts with a salary of 17, 580 Baht per month plus 8, 000 Baht housing allowance. 2. Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Mon thru Friday) with 12-18 periods per week. (50 minutes per period)

Unit 3 covered the different methodologies used to teach language highlighting the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) as the desired model to be used. Either straight ESA, Boomerang ESA (EASA) or various Patchwork (EAASAESA) sequences can be used in directing learning in the classroom. Many suggested ideas were given to use during Engage Stage (e.g. use real objects/photos, mime active verbs/adverbs, Slow Pictionary, \"chain-stories\The unit shows the importance of tests and assessments at different levels and for all learners as a means for effective teaching. These tests can be used to tailor courses for beginners up to advanced learners. It also shows the various types of tests and examination boards in place and designed to assess the English proficiency level of non native speakers for different aspects of life such as college placement and employment.
