Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit I have had an overview of the course: aims and objectives, general terminology, what is a young learner and prospects. I consider that the unit has two parts that are very useful. First, the gerneral terminology is a good index in which you have the main acronyms related to english teaching. Second, the definition of a young learner allows us to have a clear understanding of what is meant by that kind of student. This unit gave two examples of how a lesson can be taught. The first video showed a very bad example of how to teach. The teacher had no enthusiasm, threw a lot of information at the students without letting them show they understood the material, and was generally unlikable. The second video gave a good example of a standard straight arrow ESA lesson. The teacher was also very engaging and had good rapport with the students.
