Speaking and writing are the two productive skills and teaching these skills are just as important as the receptive skills (reading and listening). In order to have students develop these skills, there are two main types of activities: accuracy (drilling activities for example) and fluency (role playing activities for example). Games are an important activity which allows students to interact and have fun while learning. This was a short but extremely engaging lesson. I think I enjoyed this lesson more than some of the other lessons. This particular lesson allowed me to learn how to properly teach students receptive skills and how to conduct a lesson on it as well. I really enjoyed the samples/worksheets provided at the end of the lesson that allowed me to see potential worksheets and also a model if I were to ever need to create my own.
