This unit starts the process of getting future instructors to think about what is going to be important when selecting materials for the class. A quick search on Amazon for English textbooks will bring you many different results. Some of the results cover the same topics while others cover different ones. It is important to be able to look through these materials and think about how useful they will be for the students.This unit focuses on preparation of a lesson plan, procedures for preparation, the content of the plan and how to monitor and evaluate the students and teacher's performance in a learning environment. I have learned to create my own lesson plan using the sample given in the unit. I also learned how to evaluate myself as a teacher and identify my strengths and weaknesses, and ways to develop more and overcome my weaknesses.
