English Teaching Positions in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand

Walailak University School of Languages and General Education is accepting applications for English Lecturer positions. There are currently 19 positions open for the following working contract:

     *Contract 1 – Full-time teaching only
     *Contract 2 – Teaching plus research
*The contract depends on the result of the screening and as agreed upon by both parties.

General Job Description
•   Teach General/ Academic English Courses for undergraduate students.
•   Teach from 16/25 hours/week (depends on the job contract)
    *Contract 1 (Full time teaching) at least 25 hours
      *Contract 2 (Research and teaching) at least 16 hours
•   Conduct formative and summative assessments.
•   Perform academic services as assigned.
•   Be a course coordinator and be a part of course development
•   Must complete UKPSF certification.
      *For teaching plus research contract - Conduct research and publish an article in a Scopus-Indexed journal every year (Q1 or Q2)

Please note that job description may vary depending on the working contract. The detailed job descriptions will be provided in the job contract.

•   Degree and/or Experience related to English Language Teaching, e.g., TESOL/TEFL/TEIL/Applied Linguistics, etc.
•   GPA no lower than 3.50 or equivalent. Special consideration may be given to MA/PhD applicants
•   English proficiency scores for non-native speakers of English: TOEFL ITP 550/ CEFR Upper B2/ WU-TEP 84/ IELTS 6.5/ TOEFL IBT 80/ TOEIC 686/ CU-TEP 100. The submitted score must be less than 2 years from the date of the application. The University also accepts EnglishScore test with C1-level results.

*The following applicants are not required to submit English proficiency score:
•   Native speakers of English
•   Completed the degree from English speaking countries

•   Salary ranges from 35,000 - 60,000 Baht
    *The university will consider the salary rate according to the academic qualifications, and experience, following the regulations     specified by the university.
•   University accommodation (Apartment/House)
•   Health insurance and annual medical check-up
•   Others, which will be detailed in the contract
•   Assistance for a visa and work permit to meet the current regulations of the Thai government
•   Free yearly renewal of visa and work permit
