We are looking for a well-qualified Deputy Head of Primary to support our Primary department at our Koh Samui based school. Main Duties as the Deputy Head of Primary:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive STEM curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our international student body.

  • Lead, manage, and support the secondary teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student achievement.

  • Have a data-centric approach, driving our institution's digital transformation in Primary on both operational and educational fronts.

  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations and provides opportunities for all students to experience success.

  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and students to promote academic success and student well-being.

  • Ensure compliance with all local and international educational standards and regulations.

  • Promote the school’s mission, philosophy, and educational objectives.


OTHER:

  • To comply with, adhere to, and actively support school policies and procedures.

  • To carry out any other duties that are commensurate with the role and as instructed by PBISS management.

  • To adhere to the PBISS’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and to perform any school wide designated duties with regard to Health and Safety and the security of the school.

  • Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organisation. This job description serves as a guide to the general duties of the role and may be reviewed on an ongoing basis.


The Ideal Candidate:

You will be a reflective Deputy Head of Primary who:

  • Is qualified to teach in the UK (QTS) or has similar qualifications.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Certification in data analysis or related fields is a strong plus.

  • ESL Teaching certificates or diplomas (CELTA/TEFL/TESOL)

  • Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting.

  • Shows excellent management and organisational skills, including use of technologies.

  • Strong understanding of STEM education and implementing data-driven solutions for decision making.

  • Experience in curriculum development and staff training.

  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and educational technology.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Has experience of the British Curriculum.

  • Has experience with the school accreditation process.

  • Shows cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
