Gangnam English Academy Seeking Great Kindergarten Teachers, Starting at 3.4mil per month
We are looking to add to our team of 20 native English teachers for our English Academy and Kindergarten at Sinsa Dong 649-1, for a contract starting March 1, 2021.
Kindergarten Homeroom/Afterschool Teacher
Teachers are responsible for one kindergarten classroom of 5, 6, or 7 year olds from 9:30-2:30 each day with one hour lunch break. Planning time is available when the students are taking subject classes like gym, science, art, and music. In the afternoons, teachers will teach elementary students for a two-hour class and have two hours of planning time, ending the day at 6:30. We also have shorter after-school schedules ending at 3:30 or 5:00 available.
About Us
Our school is different from other hagwons. Founded by an American and Swedish couple in 2013, it is a genuinely fun environment with lesson plans geared around speaking, writing, science, literature, and debate, with plenty of games and activities. We now have a team of 20 awesome Native English Teachers and 20 excellent bilingual Co-Teachers who make this a fun, collaborative place to work.

Requirements:
Experience with teaching children
Fluent, native English
Love for kids, great attitude, flexible mind

Compensation:
3,300,000krw per month, (or 2,800,000 for 9:30-5:00 schedule, or 2,300,000 for 9:30-3:30 schedule) (all include 1 hour lunch break) (increases by 150,000 after first year)
100,000krw monthly bonus for completion of job-related tasks
Housing and key money is included, but rent is deducted from salary
Health insurance and Pension (we pay half)
One month severance pay at end of contract
20 days paid time off, including holidays (increases by 5 days after first year)
Working hours will be 40 hours per week, (9:30-6:30 M-F with lunch break) and teaching hours about 25 hours per week (except for teachers who choose a reduced-hours schedule).
