STARTING DATE: September 2006

Duties: teaching general English from beginner to upper-intermediate levels and Cambridge Examinations Courses (small groups - children, teenagers and adults), up to 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday from 3.30pm to 8.30pm

This unit really helped me on what the lesson is made up of. I had no idea before what a typical lesson could be. I have many options for games and activities now and want to have fun with them. It was important to learn about the correct way to correct a student as I was a little worried about that. This unit offered me some good options and I understand that it is important to try make the student correct themselves.Based on the questions and answers presented in this test, I have to admit that the International Phonetic Alphabet does work. However, having said that, I simply cannot imagine using it with any but the most advanced students. This is especially true when working with someone coming from a background with a different alphabet. A useful tool, indeed, but one that would have to be wielded with a great deal of precision.
