Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

What I have learnt from the current unit will help during the teaching process of speaking and writing. I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson as it gave me a clear understanding of what is the correct way to teach written work and how to teach the speech part of the language. The examples of an ESA lesson has given me a better understanding of the layout of what will be required in the classroom. This unit talked about the basics of teaching a new language. I say basics without a firm foundation of vocabulary, proper grammar, and functionality an EL will not be able to further their improvement. This chapter reminded me how tricky it can sometimes be to get students engaged with a new word or grammar rule. Having a planned out lesson for the appropriate level is key to ESA teaching.
