Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 9 focuses on the importance of creating a well-prepared and designed lesson plan. The lesson plan may help to make some notes, or complete lesson plan form but will make it flexible and understandable. The teacher has to make special notes about what the students have to learn and achieve during the class and at the end of the class should write some feedback about the students' progress. The idea that providing definitions for new vocabulary is often a hindrance is counter-intuitive and therefore extremely valuable to learn. It is natural to assume that definitions would be useful for learning a new language, but if the goal is to encourage high student talk times and limit teacher talk time, then definitions are indeed a poor method, although applicable in limited situations.
