Briton International English School is an English school that has fast become the most progressive language learning centre in Indonesia. We are currently seeking applications from qualified and suitably experienced EFL teachers to work in Makassar.

The ideal candidate will:

    Hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline, or be within the last semester of their study.

    Have a TEFL / TESOL or CELTA qualification.

    Have excellent proficiency in English, TOEFL min 500

    Have enthusiasm and good interpersonal skills

    Be able to enjoy challenges and competitive work

    Work in Makassar, Medan and any major cities

Compensation :

    Salary range up to 4 million IDR for a full time teacher, including monthly bonus based on effective working achievement

    Allowance for non-resident teachers

    Free internet access in school

    We also offer teachers development program of training and certification as the school runs Cambridge TKT and Oral Examiners for teachers in enhancing their skills.

By studying this unit, I have gone through the types of materials available, how can they be created and adapted, and how to put them to use. This unit helped me to know the pros and cons of authentic and non-authentic materials. Another important thing I have learnt is how to put these materials into use. By using ESA teaching methodology, teachers can organize their classes with a great support.In this unit I learned the criteria to be neede when selecting vocabulary,which are the appropriacy to the students and to the task,the frequency coverage and how easy to be teach .In this unit also learned what the students need to know about vocabulary and grammar,I also learned how to use the type of ESA lesson type .,the straight arrow type,the boomerang type and the patchwork type lesson plan.
