SALARY AND BENEFITS:

• Salary: HK$ 23,000 - 24,000 per month

• HK$ 5 000 bonus upon completion of contract

• HK$ 5 000 will be received after the comprehensive 8-day training program

• Over time payments of HK$ 1 200 per day

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree (in any discipline)

• TESOL, CELTA or TEFL (100-hour minimum)

• Native Proficiency English Speaker

• Creative, enthusiastic and a genuine love of teaching and children.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach a diverse variety of English classes such as phonics, reading comprehension, creative writing, and grammar.

• Prepare and implement lessons, crafts, and activities

• Administer student progress reports to parents

I have experience in teaching students one-on-one or small groups who mostly were beginners. In this unit for me how to teach children was extremely useful. I can build on this units class management and make my lesson plan according to this. Of course, the best is to have experience in real life. However, this lesson gives a very good base how to start a class in various situations.In this unit I learned past tenses and how to use them in sentences. It helped me to think how I would teach and think through lesson plans. I really enjoyed the examples, they furthered my knowledge and gave me ideas on how to reinforce teaching this challenging subject. I like the idea of having the students write in a journal to practice using the past, present, and future tenses.
