English Excel School of English has opportunities in small centres across Hong Kong for TEFL certified teachers. Successful applicants will work in one of our twelve schools as part of a small team. They’ll be responsible for teaching, planning and preparing their lessons, and for completing related admin.

We provide an excellent environment for newly qualified teachers, and for EFL teachers looking to develop their skills further, as we offer an initial, comprehensive training program as well as on-going opportunities for professional development in the form of workshops.

Teachers can also get involved with curriculum development and, with guidance from the curriculum manager, create lessons and projects to inspire and motivate their students.

Teachers work Monday to Saturday with two long mornings off, only working 4-7pm on these days. This gives our teachers plenty of time to explore exciting Hong Kong when they're not at work.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit was solely based on the future tense and the varying uses and appropriate time to use it. There were many useful teaching techniques and ideas involved, as well as the varying forms of each type of future tense. I wasn't previously aware that the present simple and continuous tenses could be used in a future tense setting until this unit clearly laid out all of the possibilities. This section was about pronunciation and articulation of the English language. English has so many small tricks and sounds that go along with the pronunciation of it. A teacher needs to have a lot of paitience and empathy in order to communicate these rules to students. There is a difference between saying \"HE kicked the dog,\" and \"He KICKED the dog,\" which students need to understand.
