I have a clearer picture on how to deal with students from different backgrounds and personalities. It is our responsibility to encourage and unleash their potential even with limited sources. Apart from the teaching materials, teacher's attitude and behavior are also essential. The ability of a teacher's classroom management skill will directly affect the learning outcome of students. This lesson discussed the importance of reading and listening skills. One suggestion in the lesson was to make sure when teaching to discuss any potentially complicated or unknown words from the lesson before having the students read. This helps the students understand the material better and helps them feel more encouraged to ask questions about anything they may still not understand.
