We are a small private language school in Reykjavik looking for an experienced EFL/ESP teacher with the skills and experience to design curricula and teaching materials for customised company courses.

The workload will include general EFL conversation courses, private lessons and ESP courses for some of Iceland's largest companies.

If you are excited by the prospect of living and working in Iceland and meet ALL of the following requirements, then please apply immediately:

EFL/ESL qualified

Experienced in teaching ESP and Business English courses

Experienced in the preparation of teaching materials

Native speaker of English

EU passport

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This units tells us the importance of the productive skills which is the speaking and writing skills of a student. I have learned that speaking and writing are substantially both equal in terms of their uses in communication, and that we should NOT neglect the writing skills as well. I have also learned the use of straight arrow ESA in this unit accuracy vs. fluency and they both are equally important in teaching a new language.I must admit that this unit was the least helpful one so far. I felt that most of the information given was either common sense or arbitrary. That being said, as always, I found the examples of lessons provided helpful, and I will definitely save this unit as a PDF and refer to the lesson examples when constructing my own lesson plans. The more examples that I have going into a year of teaching, the more comfortable I will feel.
