This unit is focused on the various parts of speech. Some of these I knew well, but others I had never heard of before. Primarily, I learned about the differences between the classifications within certain parts of speech. For example, I learned different ways to classify pronouns, nouns, and verbs. It is interesting that we use these systems adeptly often without acknowledging the presence of a system.This unit was an easy transition of the knowledge I received in unit 4 regarding present tenses, and mostly gave me valuable insight in to the usages of each tense. I have also take away some handy teaching ideas to use in the classroom- I particularly liked the idea of creating a CV or conducting an interview, describing major events in the past (of which the students would likely take an interest in.)
