Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, several class types were discussed---ranging from children to adults, from one to one lessons, to group lessons, from young learners with no experience in English, to adult learners in English for Specific Purposes classes. General do's and don'ts were highlighted. Preparation, or actually, the need to be over prepared, was stressed as a key component of the English as a foreign language teacher.I learned that there is no problem with testing as it is meant to assess the learners' individual strengths and weaknesses and properly instruct the class. It should not be something to excessively stress over but it is definitely something that needs appropriate preparation and should be taken seriously. This unit also taught about the multiple different types of tests that would be useful for English learners.
