Course aims
The 150-hour course is designed to offer a comprehensive introduction to the world of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Once you have graduated from the course you should have a good working knowledge of English grammar and a range of unique skills and techniques that will be invaluable in your future career as an English language teacher.
Some employers prefer their job applicants to have some form of previous experience of teaching in a classroom as well as a certificate of teaching knowledge. One convenient way for first time teachers to obtain this is to take a TEFL/TESOL course that includes Observed Teaching Practice (OTP) as part of the syllabus. Until recently this meant attending a training center for anywhere from one to four weeks. However, thanks to our new 150-hour Zoom certification course with teaching practice, you can participate in all training sessions for the teaching knowledge component and teach real English language students entirely from wherever you are, via Zoom.
By completing some OTP before applying for English language teaching jobs, you will greatly enhance your appeal to many international employers and ensure you are ready to step into your own classroom full of confidence in your ability to plan and deliver the quality of lessons that your students deserve.
All you need to complete this course and gain this certification is an internet-connected device with a webcam. The ITTT Zoom course is equivalent to an in-class course as it contains the same course components. You will receive the ITTT 150-hour certificate which shows 6-hours of Observed Teaching Practice. A TEFL or TESOL version is available as preferred.
If you’re looking for a convenient TEFL certification course that will set you up for a successful career teaching English at home or overseas, take a look at our 150-hour TEFL Zoom Certification Course with teaching practice.
Course procedure
After confirming a place by submitting a deposit payment to ITTT you will be able to choose from one of our three world time zones, who will deliver the course content. Current availability of this course is in time zones for East Asia, Europe and Central and North America. Each of our ITTT centers will outline your individual schedule covering all the course content. You will receive “input sessions” from our trainers covering all the teaching skills and language knowledge needed for you to teach. For the teaching practice they will guide you through the lesson planning process, observe your teaching lessons and then provide you with comprehensive feedback on your class. All of the process is undertaken via Zoom.

FAQs
Around 144 hours of theory and lesson preparation + six hours of observed teaching practice. This might be in conjunction with in-class course scheduled classes or conducted only with online participants.
Class sizes can range from one person to a maximum of around 12.
Course participants are assigned a number of tasks to complete outside class hours.
If the trainee cancels, local trainers have to teach the class in their place. Last-minute cancellations are therefore considered as a forfeit of one of the trainee’s teaching practice sessions.
If the course participant is late to a OTP class or input session, they would receive significantly lower feedback from their trainer. Repeated late arrival could impact the trainee's course result.
The balance is to be paid within two days of the start of a course that the applicant has agreed to attend. The payment is non-refundable as the organisation of each session is based on a specific number of course members in the group. They will be offered the possibility to finish the course with one of our next sessions within 12 months.
Trainees’ progress is tested throughout the course.
Both are likely.
Teaching practice will be scheduled as directed by the relevant training centre, with maximum flexibility in mind.
Yes. For each lesson trainees are guided and supervised by a teacher trainer.

A deposit of $499 is required to secure a place on a course, with the balance of $990 payable direct to the training center. Installments can be considered.
