This unit dealt with the subject of phonology and pronunciation. Intonation and stress are important factors in mastering a new language. General rules were provided to teach which words are stressed in a sentence and which syllables receive the stress in multi-syllabic words.The International Phonetic Language was presented as well as techniques for working on producing these sounds.There were so many methodologies to remember and I honestly forgot most of them, but I did like learning about the Engage-Study-Activate Lesson structure. It gave me several ideas on PowerPoints to make as well as worksheets and fun activities. Based on the three types (ESA, Boomerang, Patchwork), I know I'll use Patchwork a lot. I like structure, but a little wiggle room is nice too.
