in this unit, i learned about the basic skills in learning language, which are: Listening and Reading ( receptive skills ), writing and speaking ( productive skills). this unit was focused on receptive skills, how to teach these skills to students and what methods to use. I also reviewed one example given in the unit of how to give exercise to students and what methods to use as well.This unit wraps up the course with troubleshooting tips for the first class, or for classes where the students have a wide range of abilities in the English language. As had been assiduously repeated throughout the course, the teacher should avoid using the students? native language. The students should be offered every opportunity to practice speaking and listening in English.
